What is the name of your state? Missouri

Quick question about Missouri Landlord rights...If a renter has rented a house without any kind of lease agreement, and contract of any kind signed...what do I have to do to evict them? Do I have to give notice in writing, or is verbal enough? I gave verbal notice to evacuate the premises as I had sold the property, when I returned to shampoo the carpets they were still there.

Of course they were still there. Because they know you're selling the property doesn't mean crap to them. They are, absent a lease, a month-to-month tenant and you need to evict according to the Missouri Revised Statutes Landlord/Tenant laws.

So, I suggest you go to the library and find out what they are.

My response:

Or, you can remove their Still, and puncture the tires under one side of the trailer. Have you ever tried to live in a trailer with a 30 degree tilt?

Lol, well we are definitely nowhere. :) Population 407.

I went and looked up the statutes you suggested, why do they have to make those things so complicated instead of just writing them in plain english that doesn't require a translator? The best I can figure is I am required to give them 30 day written notice, which means they get another month free.

almost, but not quite. they get 30 days, but every second until they turn in their keys, the meter is running. you can charge them rent, and if they don't pay, you can take them to court.

Thanks Longneck. I did give them 30 day written notice today, certified mail, and I doubt I will take them to court seeing how they don't have a pot to piss in, but if they will at least get out I will be happy.
