On my recent eviction summons there is a mistake. It states that "on or about 12/18/97 defendants agreed to rent the premises for a 5 1/2 month lease". Which is incoorect. First the date is wrong it was 12/18/99 not 97(is this enough for dismisal?) and then when we signed the contract it did not mention a 5 1/2 month lease. He might have filled in some information AFTER we signed the contract(still need to verify this).

First part: Typos occur frequently(to err is human), so it highly unlikely you will get it dismissed.
Second part: If you can prove that the individual added information after the fact, then you could file against him. Question is; did you recieve a copy of the document? That would be your only proof of intent.
BTW, I am not a lawyer but I have been interested enough to be considered dangerous. hahaha But I was being totally honest with you. Throughout my years, I have seen and experienced many legal anomalies, but this is rather simple to sort out.
