I have never been in any trouble of any kind, but there is a girl with whom I was friends with, that is now an ex-friend.She let me stay with her for two weeks about five years ago, during that time she got a drivers license in my name using my ssc and birth certificate without my knowing.About three years ago I found out my license was suspended, I knew it was a mistake because I've never even gotten a warning, anyway I figured out it was her by the accident report and the state attorney entered a nolle prosequi on the case,I thought it was over then.Last week I found out I had an active warrant out for my arrest, and had to sit in jail for 12 hours until I could get bailed out for obtaining property by worthless check.now I have a court date coming up and I want to know if I can press charges against her and if I will need a lawyer.

My response:

Yes, and yes.

Have her subpoenaed to the trial to give testimony under oath.
