My son and his friend were victims of a mob beating, they were beat by 40 other people in a city park. My son was stabbed in the head and kicked over and over. His friend was beaten and required to have plastic surgery and facial reconstruction. My son and his friend our only 15. We are lucky that no one was killed. 5 witnesses have come forward and gave the names of three adults that were involved and the main suspects involved and they are 18 and older. My son now has to go to home schooling and he is having personal issues with depression. My question is that I have a Homicide detective assigned to the case but I am affraid he is dragging his feet. Both the parents of my sons friend and I are worried nothing will be done and we are wondering if there was support groups out there or assistance in pushing the case?
