:( So lets talk about anxiety... I have been renting a private mobile home lot for over 3 years. No lease was signed, Just a hand shake and thank you. We bought a used mobile home and moved it onto the lot. The person we bought the mobile home from took the axles from under the mobile home and there is no way to gain use of them. Here lies the delema..
The landowner contacted me today to inform me that he was selling the mobile home lot and that the new owner needed to be in by july 15.
We have of course made this lot our home and had no intentions of moving. All payments are to date. We have 3 children living with us and have no available money to move off this land. It would cost us about $2000 - $2500 to move Mobile home and addition. What would be my options? What a gut wrenching feeling this is to be pushed up against a wall with nowhere to go..
Thank you for reading.

My response:

Other than lighting a stick of dynamite to your trailer on July 15, 2006, you have no options - - at least from what I can read from your post. You might, however, want to do this on July 4, 2006. What a show!

Jamie,

Have you thought about putting your mobile home up for sale and asking buyer to move it? Or perhaps offer to sell it to new person taking the lot? You might get a taker and at least get some money out of the deal to move your family to another situation?
Next time you rent anything...always get it in writing to protect yourself.

Can I light the fuse? HUH can I, can I, can I. Oh please let me do it. I have not been able to blow something up since my Army days and I miss it.

Wow!! $14,500 for a 27 year old mobile home!!! Folks in Maine must be willing to pay a whole lot more for old used mobile homes than folks in most other parts of the country!!

I thought the same thing! Do you suppose the OP meant to say a 1999 12X70?

Good luck to you in your new place. Ill bet the new owner is just going to continue using it as a home, a septic system and well can easily be worth that much alone.
