My boyfriend was taken to Child support services for a review and adjustment for child support. The final decision was in August 2004, it was going to be lowered, but he agreed to pay the same amount. Now he just recieved more paperwork to appear again for the same thing.

1. Is this legal? I thought they could only do this once a year?

2. How do you prove someone is lying on the expense report? She is collecting SSI, AND work comp, and her income from SSI seems to have changed from $838 to $191 since august. Which I believe is a joke. She does not disclose work comp, but we know she gets it.

3. How can he refuse to give them paperwork if she is NOT providing her tax returns?

Please help, she is trying to bleed him dry, she hasnt' worked in 14 years.

Child support modification can be heard in court any time there is a change in circumstance.

I am normally not a negative person but the CA child support service does seem to demand more from the NCP (usually DAD). I have actually been told and experienced on several occasions that information provided by the CP is believed true at thier word. The NCP must proove otherwise.

The child support service was created to ensure children of California were being supported by both parents and to repay welfare. The priority is getting $$ for the children not determining how little the NCP is required to pay.

Child support won't go away, it's best if you remind yourself that it for the care of the children and not Mom.

Why does is always seem to be the current wife/girlfriend to complain about these things? You said your boyfriend's CS was lowered, but he agreed to keep paying the higher amount, yet she's trying to bleed him dry. Sounds like a stand-up guy to me who really cares about providing the best for his child and your're the one who resents the money leaving your boyfriend's pocket. "She hasn't worked in 14 years". Getting SS disability is very, very difficult to get unless a person is truley disabled and has the medical documentation to prove it. This is probably the very reason why she hasn't worked in 14 years......

To those who had good advice thank you. For those who accused "me" of caring how much he pays, your sadly mistaken. It' s not my money, I dont' care. My boyfriend is the one who asked me to ask the question, and she is currently under investigation for disability fraud, and has failed a drug test, and now CPS is trying to take the child from her. My boyfriend provides things above and beyond child support. The MAIN issue is that he was JUST there in August and now she wants more because she compells the child not to visit his father. Now she is saying she should get more money. It is sad to see the child manipulated for the mother to support he documented drug problem. I hope my boyfriend does get custody, and yes it costs more to raise him than pay child support. He is not against doing what is right, and either am I. He is just tired of getting taken back everytime he turns around, missing work, and not getting paid for a drug addicted liar. For those who think those are my words, they are not, they are the fathers words. I thought this forum was for help, not assumptions.
