Strictly as a layman ...if one of the parents was not able to be there at assigned times then why was not a right of first refusal sought before the use of a 3d party / nanny
It appears that the issue was already litigated before the judge and dad lost.

Well..... My youngest went to a very small HS (not as small as you mention), but it caused her no harm - academically or socially.

And..... your children are nowhere near HS age, so your argument is moot.
