What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Georgia

At what point closest to emancipation does the court not consider a modification?

For instance, in Georgia, there must be a two year waiting period between modification orders unless a certain set of circumstances are met.
What if the ex decides to request a modification 3 months prior to emancipation? Or six months? Or one year prior to emancipation?

The math of who pays court costs obviously plays into the calculus of this, but what about some sanity check by the court of “why do you want to modifiy so close to emancipation if there are no compelling reason to modify, such as winning the lottery?”What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

The court can consider a modification at any time prior to and, possibly, after emancipation. Now, why don't you explain YOUR situation so that you can get an accurate answer...

If there has been the required change in circumstancs the court can hear and rule on a modification request at any time up to the child's emancipation.

My friend Rita Mae Brown, she's a pistol, always says, "The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four Americans is suffering from some form of mental illness. Think of your three best friends. If they're okay, then it's you."

This one hates estrogen -- believes it is evil. Hence, we women should leave him to his own devices. he knows it all. His history proves that.
