Getting on with life

Guest
military living in oklahoma, divorced in utah with ex and child living in utah. tried to reconcile whiling going through divorce...long story...end result: signed divorce papers with a $800/month child support payment.
recently remarried and cannot financially support 2 families. utah support laws require $500/month and ex is willing to reduce support to that amount.

how do i modify a divorce decree to reduce child support payments to $500? do i/we need a lawyer to draft the modification? does a modification need to go through the same judge that signed the original?

with so many dead beat sperm donors out there it is very hard to find information or help for a father who does the right thing and would love another start at a family. any help would be greatly appreciated
