2 yrs ago, my boyfriend's mom had cancer and went in for surgery and afterwards rehab. before going in for the surgery, she put his name on her acct so he could pay the bills. She went into the bank personnaly. He started depositing his paychecks into the acct and as such withdrew the money when he needed it. when she got out of rehab she got mad at him because he had forgotten to pay the mortgage bill.(it was sitting in the car waiting to be mailed) so she went to the bank to start an investigation but the bank told her that since she came in and put his name on the acct and since he was making deposits, he had a right to withdraw money. after the bank told her that, she went to the police anf filed charges saying she never went to the bank and that he put his name on the acct without her knowledge.we never heard anything about it and she is now dead. last week 2 detectives came to the house and asked if he and his brother could come to the station to answer some questions about their mom's estate. they went answered the questions and then were arrested. we have friends of the family that will testify that she did in fact put his name on the acct. what's going on? what can we do? do they really have a case?

Banks do not let people put their names on other people's accounts. There must be more to this story.
