What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NC

I live in NC but my mother and 4 sibblings all live in Philadelphia. Mom recently died without a will and own 2 homes - one in Philadelphia (paid for) and one in Georgia (still has a mortgage on it). She also had several life insurance policies which none can be found. How do I even begin to search for answers. My other sibblings are searching the house for answers and they are not sharing any information with me. Please help.

what are the questions? If you speaking of the life insurance policies, start with searching the house (as is being done, former employers, and look at bank statements and checking accounts to look for payments to insurance companies.
