What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MA

My mom came to live with me last May (due to falls in her home.) Last January she fell in my kitchen and broke her hip, necessitating a stay in a rehabilitation center.

She is on Medicare, but received a letter from her secondary insurer asking for the details of her injury.

Are they going to most likely sue me? Thank goodness we have renter's insurance.

She's 82, for crying out loud.

That kind of query is standard practice and doesn't even remotely mean a suit is pending; it just means they're reviewing the claim against the policy to make sure it's applicable, that's all
