Unfortunately, the previous discussion was closed when I first saw it. However, three things were missed in the discussion. First, under Georgia law, a parent is not liable for the torts of their children, so forget about being sued. Second, don't worry about them suing her, your absolute defense (and her defense) is that she is a minor. She can't be sued. Last, the church person was well-intended but wrong; any probation should be paid through the court, not directly to the store.
