I live in New York. I opened a Montgomery wards charge account. I have since fallen behind in payments as the local store closed some time ago. The company has not sent any bills in at least 6 months , now I am being contacted by a third party by the name of encore claiming i owe this money to Monogram Credit of Georgia. the acct. no. has the last 9 digits as my M. W. acct. Can this be legal since M. W. is supposed to be in Bankruptcy?
