What is the name of your state? Ohio

Since I am surrendering my car as part of my bankruptcy, do I still list it under my "personal property", and if so is there some special I way I have to do it?

I am looking at my girlfriend's bankruptcy paperwork from last year (she used an attourney, I am attempting to file myself) and I see the exempt property paper lists the "law providing each exception". I assume I can list those same laws? The only exempt property I have is clothes, etc.

My other question is I might be moving across the state line to Pennsylvania this summer, will this hinder my bk in any way?

Yes, you list it as an asset AND you list it as a secured debt. You just check on your statement of intentions that you are surrendering it.

Yes, as long as she filed in the same state/location as you.

No furniture, no consumer electronics, no books and cd's ?? Most people have some personal property besides clothing.

Yeah, I was including those as "etc.", and also after I posted that I found the answer to that question, thanks!

Here's some questions...how can I make sure I have all my forms filled out correctly? I am filing myself, since if I could afford the $1000 estimate I was given by an attorney, I wouldn't be filing for bankruptcy!
