an auction sell gone bad 2

What is the name of your state? MS

I received a letter from this person and apparently he has taken the carburator off and done some things to the wiring on this car.
He says the car won't run and is not safe. Though when the car hauler came to pick up the car, we drove it into the enclosed trailer.
I'm just wondering if this person has a case against us or not.
He was expecting I assume a $20,000. restored 55. That is not what he bought, that was not what we sold him and that was the understanding that he had before he continued to bid on the auction.
The car was purchased March 27.
