What is the name of your state? LA
I am in the process of buying a home, and as much reading as I have done on this matter a lot of the verbage is escaping me.
When the contract is drawn up, can I ask for a copy (BEFORE I SIGN) and bring to an independent real estate atty? I dont want to sign something not really knowing or understanding what i am signing, and dont want to take the word of a real estate agent or a morgage broker, both of whom make money on my signature. Since it can be explained to me one way and mean something else and since I am "ignorant" of this information, i can be dupped and later it would be a he said she said. Just trying to CMA on the single largest expense in my life, I want to make sure I do it right and not come back in 3 months begging for help cause i was dupped.
Thanks for any help
