The Mortgage companyreally messed up this year for the 1st time. I have an escrow account. The homeowners Policy was nearly cancelled due to non payment in Dec. After I called they made payment in Jan.& they again pulled the money out of my escrow account, for a total of 2 withdrawals for 1 bill. They have lied & told me they never received a cancellation notice . They lied when they told me they'd overnight the 2 nd check - it was received 8 days later- if one more day would have passed, the policy would have been cancelled. My nerves are shot. Do I have any legal recourse for all these mistakes? I am still out for 2 homeowners withdrawals in my escrow account.I reside in New Jersey. My Insurance co. is also in NJ.
