What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Hawaii
My husband and I were able to receive the Mortgage Modification last year based on our pay, (we are both on the mortgage) He passed away 6 months later, since I know longer have his income, do I have to let the company know and if I do will they just take my husband off or will they put me through the whole modification procedure. I can afford the monthly payments, I will have trouble showing the money on paper. I would appreciate any advice.

If you remain current, there is no reason the prove income, simply notify them of his death. I presume you are on title jointly with your late husband? You do need to have him removed from title, and title placed in your name alone.

Did the mortgage carry any sort of mortgage life insurance?
