What is the name of your state? Colorado

Does anyone know if there is a set time on the last day when your mortgae payment can be refused? My payment came in after the office had closed but before midnight when it was due. I am now in foreclosuer, and have talked with my local housing authorty where someone said that it didn't sound right. I have no idea on this and can't figure out where to find an answer. What is the name of your state?

How do you know the exact time your mortgage payment got to the office? Mail is generally delivered only once a day and that is during office hours. If you hand delivered the payment and slipped it under the door because no one was there, it would be considered delivered the next day. Mortgage companies usually do not foreclose for 1 missed payment, so there must be a pattern of late or missed payments.

Call the mortgage company and ask what is going on.

Was this a payment like for several months that would keep you out of foreclosure and you couldn't even get there on time to save your house? Because otherwise your post makes no sense whatsoever.

Mortgage companies do NOT look at the post-mark date on an envelope.

Payment should be made/posted by THE CLOSING (ie 5:000 pm) OF THE SAID BUSINESS DAY!

There is NOW WAY, one late payment caused this foreclosure.
