Mother has filed criminal contempt, but requested she appear telephonically?

Tennessee. Mother has filed a criminal contempt of court against me. She is representing herself pro se, and has requested that she be able to appear telephonically since she lives in another state. This is not possible, is it? How do I stop this. I believe that you have to be present to prosecute a criminal contempt.

Even if you never received the order, you did know what was decided that day in court, correct? Have you been paying it?

not only can she request it, the court can approve it. and she wouldn't be prosecuting. the judge would be ruling.

actually you're incorrect in part. Last time Mother pulled one of these stunts the judge actually explained to her that she was required to be present for a criminal contempt, but I foolishly allowed her to appear telephonically. So, I'm trying to now figure out how I can best request that she be present. In my answer to the contempt?
