What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?Maryland My grandmother is currently suffering from alzheimers which my mother just moved from Kentucky to take care of her.I would first like to state that my mother has never raised me. I was raised by my grandparents. My grand father passed about 13 yrs ago.So for the last 13 yrs. I have been taking care of my grandmother.About 9 yrs ago Iwas put in the will as An equal to my mother and uncle.Which my uncle has no problem with since I was basically raised as his little brother. While my mother moved to Ky. with new husband. Now she has moved back to maryland to take care of her and is determined to get me off of the will as her and my uncles equal. She has just taken power of attorney over for my grandmother and has basically told me Im not deserving.A motive completly fueled by greed telling me she needs to think of her future. What can I do Or do I have any rights. Thanks Rob Please help with as much info as possible

Your mother is seriously deluded as to her rights under a Power of Attorney.

A power of attorney does not have legal authority to change a will or trust in the state of Kentucky.

the more serious problem would be if she takes control of granny's assets and sells them, which the POA gives her the right to do.

I would suggest you and your uncle enlist the aid of an attorney to have a guardian ad litem appointed for your grandmother. That will insure that her wishes, as well as her estate, is left intakt.
