What is the name of your state? Ohio

My X husband filed a motion to modify the child support. He wants to reduce it - but he also just got a raise.

Do I have to file a motion too???

What if he dismisses this motion before it is heard - do I have to file a motion then? Can I get back child support to when he originally filed then?

I would ask my lawyer but he is on vacation.

If he just got a raise its really dumb for him to be filing a motion to reduce child support.

No, you don't have to file a motion too...the state will automatically do a complete recalculation. However, if he dismisses the case then a review won't happen unless 1) you are within the time limits to file something and do...and 2) No, it wouldn't be retroactive to his original filing.....UNLESS....the judge was mightily annoyed with him. However if the judge made an order based on being "mightily annoyed"...it could be appealable.

My ex is a stalker who suffers from online multiple personality disorder. Any suggestions? Sorry to "highjack"...(oops! Can I use that term with a former ticket agent?!)
