i was in need of body panels for my kawasaki. im a member of several zx7r forums and its a great place to find information or parts for sale by individuals for very good prices.

after a few months of searching for a good deal, i found a user on kawiforums.com and he had posted a list of various parts for sale- body work for 300, a headlight for 100, and a few other odds and ends. he lives in marlborough, ma and i have his address and cellphone number-but no real useful information.

so heres what happend- i messaged him through the site and said i was interested in the headlight. he wanted me to pay through a money transfer-i had a few messages from him before and he sounded very legit and the price was the best i could find-so i wired him the money and crossed my fingers. this was a good transaction, he sent the headlight within a few days and gave me a tracking number, it did show up with no protection in the box and luckily was easily repaired.

now to the point where he got me...while i was waiting for the headlight to come, in i told him i was interested in the body work he had. he said that since i was easy to deal with and he felt bad about the broken tab on the headlight that he would ship the set for free-so 300 bucks for a painted set of body is an excellent deal for any sportbike these days. ofcourse i took the offer and wired him the money like before, because i trusted him.

a week later and he was making excuses for not giving me a tracking number- this and that, anyways, long story short-its been more than a month, ive been communicating with him through text messages for the past 3 weeks. he says he sent me a money order to my address with a full refund-that was 2 weeks ago now.

obviously he still has my money and my body work. so my question is, with the text messages and his post on the website, along with the messages on the site, would this be enough evidence to press some sort of charges?

i know that 300 is a small amount to most people and small claims court would be a bigger waste of time since its an out of state issue. but are there any things i can do for little out of pocket to get my legal revenge?

the 300 doesnt kill me, its just the fact that im not the only one hes doing it to. another user paid 600 for a motor the same way i did and still hasnt seen anything, only more excuses.

thankyou in advance-any advice is greatly apreciated

also-please do not post, "that it was a dumb thing to do"...i know this
