What is the name of your state?

Currently the finalization of divorce is pending. Custody of 2 children is 50/50. The question is, can one parent legally move out of the state with the children as long as the other parent consents? thank you for your help.

Maybe. Maybe not. A lot depends on the specific state. How does the moving parent propose to share custody when s/he moves to a different state? Is s/he willing to give up primary custody?
