So, the girl is currently 16. When does she turn 17?

How old are YOU? And are you involved in a sexual relationship with her currently? If so, how long have you been sexually involved with her?

If her parents give her permission to live with you, yes.

If her parents do not give her permission to live with you, no.

It really is that simple.

How old are you?

How long have you been engaged in sexual activity?

Are her parents supportive of the move?

Suffice it to say as others have that if mom and/or dad oppose this move it ain't gonna happen and you will risk jail time.

Suffice to say that I think you and I are on the same page here (as in the questions regarding the boyfriend's age and the level of involvement in their relationship - and for how long). Depending on the answers to those questions, then whether or not the parents approve of the move may make no difference at all.

Are her grandparents her legal guardians? If not, then she will need permission from whoever that might be.

While it does not appear to be unlawful, moving out and into a romantic relationship is typically not a good idea and statistically a very bad thing for the future. I would strongly recommend against it as there is really no plus side to it other than the fact that the two of you can have sex on a semi-regular basis, and that can lead to some of those bad things I eluded to (like, kidlets).
