I moved in to my apartment 4 years ago with my then 15 year old son and 5 year old daughter. My mother moved in with us 4 months after that. My first lease had my name and my children's names on it (I have since lost this lease) Every lease after that only had my name on it. I want to move out with my 9 year old daughter, but my son (who will be 20 in March) and my mother want to remain living in the apartment. Can the landlord kick them out if I move out? It is important that I get an answer quick. thank you so much.

YES the landlord can kick them out at the end of the lease... because only YOU are on the lease...... if you are under some form or rent control, like in New York city, the lease can be transferred....BUT If they dont pay the rent on time they can always be evicted.

Remember ITS NOT YOUR PROPERTY.....YOU DONT OWN THE HOUSE!
