I'm a 16 year old female, almost 17, living in New York state. I am 5 months pregnant and the father of the baby is 17 years old. The father has a job and car, ways of supporting himself. But his parents are trying to cut him off from the child and I. They took away the phone they pay for, HIS car, and refuse to let him near me. He wants to move out and live with me, especially since I will be having his child soon. But, the New York State Law say that you have to be 18 and we don't want the authorities to be involved. Is there any way around this?

He stays put until he turns 18.

His parents have absolute control over where he lives.

Is there any way around this?

No. There isn't. The law does not adjust itself around your convenience.
