What is the name of your state? NE

I live in Lincoln now and have started applying for jobs in Omaha, which is over 40 miles away. I haven't decided if I should commute (which I know would be a pain in the winter) or move. If I were to move, would I have to break lease or would my landlord have to release me from the lease? I'm trying to figure these sort of things out before I make a decision.

Thank you for any help!

Read your lease and speak to your landlord to explore your options. He's Not responsible to release you from the lease because you chose to work to far away. However, he may consider allowing you to find a tenant that he would then approve to replace you.
