I would like to know, if I have obtained several different life insurance policies through different resources: work, television, internet, etc...., is it accurate to say that if I was to pass away (say accidental death), would only one of those many life insurance policies pay off? or all?

You may take out as many life insurance policies from as many different sources as you wish. If you die, they will all pay a death benefit to your beneficary(ies) persuant to the terms of each individual policy.
