What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?New Jersey. My nightmare has been going on for 5 years but I will somehow try to cut to the chase. My neighbor and I were sued for various things concerning another neighbors delapadated house. The owner rented this small house to in excess of 20 people, including children. Conditions were horrible. The house and property violated dozens and dozens of township ordinences. Buried leaking oil tank next to the creek, septic draining into the creek, house falling down, exposed electical wires hanging out of the walls to mention a few. We do have pictures and video to prove this. My good neighbor and I repeatedly went to the township to do something about this to NO AVAIL. We were squashed at every attempt. We went to county and State and were shut down there also. It became quite clear someone was covering this up for some reason. The house since burned down and the owner died. We are still in court today! Recently I was given access to the file by a new township administrator and was shocked to see the total lies in the file. This was a total coverup. Two days ago a new township commiteeman confided in me that the building inspector revealed to him that this matter was a coverup, and he was forced to do it by his superiors whom threated his job if he didn't go along. My good neighbor and I have spent over $150,000.00 defending ourselves in this unbelieveable lawsuit because of colusion and corruption by the local government. They are 100% responsible for what happened to us. WHAT CAN WE DO!

Answer - Again, long crazy story! It came to my good neighbors attention the the owner of the delapadated house(dave) had no well on his property and had an underground pipe hooked in the good neighbors (pete)well.Pete hired an attorney who notified dave that the well would be shut off in 10 days. After confering with the Board of Health, pete gave dave an additional 60 days to get his own water. on day 59 dave filed suit against pete stating that there was an written easement. When dave could not produce those documents(they didn't exsist), dave then said it was an "easement by implication". We were then sued by dave for "causing the tenants to flee" and subsequently for the wrongful death of dave. He died of "idiopathic pulmanary fibrosis". They said we gave him a heart attack. YES, I think we should write a book. Our point now is, if the township had done it's job and condemmed the house we would not be in this situation. Instead they chose to cover it all up and we look like the liars. Now there have been admissions to the cover up. Can we hold the township responsible?

Hey, that was in my first post. :D

**A: Nope, you never mentioned Canada and you stated moving as a method of last resort. I never implied that my advice was per last resort.
