What is the name of your state? Florida

I have six different mutual funds (in the same family , held by my broker). The best of the six, has increased in value by 67% (in the 2 1/2 years, since I've owned it). The average % of the six, is 40%. The two worst of the six, are barely over 20%..18 months ago, I asked him to move money into the best performer. He told me not to, stating that his company is conservative, and that it would upset my "balance". What is your opinion on this?

Your broker has probably offered good advice.

It is called a balanced portfolio. Asset allocation by class... Sometimes things are up and then down, and others are down then up...

I don't know the details of your portfolio but.

Over 60% is an extremely high rate of return. It is unlikely to last forever. All of your funds seem to have quite decent returns. The time scale of these returns is what matters.

If your broker is refusing to do what you say - then do what you have to.
