What is the name of your state? Virginia

Ex-boyfriend got a suspended imposition of sentence
with no contact as a condition of no further consequences
for assault and battery against me. (for a year).

Four months later,
we got in contact over the Internet and he said to
call him and that he wasn't doing well. Various
bad things happened to him, lost job, etc.

I called and we are in contact.

What exactly can happen in this situation?

He has had enough bad things happen
and I don't want to report it now.

What are the ramifications for me as the victim
if I stay in contact with him against the order?

What is the name of your state?

If he's caught violating the order, he risks whatever the sentence was originally supposed to be being imposed NOW.

I'm sorry but what do you mean about the scarecrow?

I know it means naive or something like that.

In addition to this he will be charged with the violation of the RO and be sentenced accordingly. As he should.

As to what you are facing? You are facing the possibility of getting seriously hurt or killed for having contact with a man that is proven to be dangerous.

Thank you. I am in domestic violence counseling but I still do not
emotionally accept on some level that he is dangerous.

I am trying to take steps to protect myself. Thank you for the answers.

It's not directed specifically at you. It's part of my signature line which appears in every post of mine.

But what it means? If you insist on behaving as if you don't have a brain, I will be forced to be the wicked witch and set you on fire. Only not really. Because I'm not actually violent.
