I worked for a local repair shop in Lee County FL. I was injured on the job on 8/9/00. I went through surgery and a ton of theropy, durning this time my former boos felt he didnt want me to work there anymore. So on or about 3/15/01 he had my tools droped off at my home without me knowing. Apon going through my tools ive found that im missing about $6500.00 worth of my tools. I asked for them back or for them to be covered under some form of INS. I was told no program was set up and that he felt the tools were not missing. Ive just gone for a pre trial in small claims court and the judge feels my case might be weak. He states I may need case law research on this due to the fact he only said my tools were covered and never put it in writing before I went to work for him. If anyone could PLEASE inform me of anything that might help my case I would be in debt to you. Im about to be cleared by my doctor to start working again and without these tools im not able to preform many of the jobs I must in order to get a job. So thanks to anyone who can offer any advice. MY e-mail is [email protected] please place in the subject line Auto Tools.
