I have been working at my job since 1978. I recently found out that my boss did not report my social security for the year of 1980. Although he did take out taxes he did not report it. I am having a difficult time trying to prove that I was working. My boss has since then retired from my job and went to florida. I have contact with him and asked him about this, he says he will look into it. It has been 6 months and yet he never has mentioned it. Please help me by giving me the appropriate steps to get my money. It was unfair what he did to me, he should be repremanded for what he did. I live in the state of NJ

I don't know about you, but I still have my tax returns back to 1973. If you don't, then maybe you can contact the IRS for this informaiton. Not sure how far back they keep records, but SS will accept a copy of your tax return for proof.
