i live in the state of texas. i just recently started dating my boyfriend who has been divorced for a year now. he has two little boys whom he sees on wednesdays and everyother weekend. she(the ex wife) is threatening to take the boys away from him if he does not chose between me and his boys. he has told her he chooses both because he loves me and he loves his boys too. can she take him back to court and change the custody rulings because of me being around.

Not unless you are a mean and nasty person who cooks live frogs for lunch..

Tell you b/f that the very first time she refuses court ordered visitation for him to retain an attorney and haul her ass into court.

What do the papers say?

If the papers say that he sees them on these days then the only legal way she can stop him from seeing him is to take him back to court and get the papers changed. She can't just decide she dosen't like you and not let him see the kids. My boyfriends ex-wife is trying to keep me away from his kids and his lawyer told him that unless I was a drug user or something bad that the ex couldn't do that unless he agreed to it. Which he won't do.

Realize if she is doing this now so soon in your relationship, she is likely to attempt to make your life a living hell for the duration of the time you are with him (while the kids are under-age). You have to ask yourself if this is really something you want to deal with for many years. I wish you the best, and if you are not doing anything wrong, there is nothing she can do about visitation with the father. Judges tend to frown upon custodial parents who attempt to get in the way of children's relationships with NCP's who are trying.

I consider myself blessed. My fiance's ex actually likes me and prefers talking to me and going through me regarding the kids rather than him. Of course that can lead to a whole set of problems on it's own, but I'd take it any day over being harassed;)
