colorado: i went to my local state fair, parked in a parking lot that said "State Fair Parking $5.00" so i was going to park there. there was nobody there to take my money, so i parked there anyway. when i came out 6 hours later it had been towed away. the business that had it towed away was around 100-200 yards away, and there were other cars parked in the parking lot closer to the business than i was, that happen to have been there longer than i had and were still there when i came out. so it was towed away, i had to pay $100.00 to get it out of impound, and there was some slight dammage to the car where it had been scraped on the ground.
my questions are, Do I have the right to sue the towing company for damaging my car?
and, Do I have the right to sue the business for towing my vehicle for no reason and for descrimination?
In answering take into consideration these points.
A. there was nothing saying i could not park there
B. there was a sign that said state fair parking
C. the business owner wouldn't know if i had payed or not, due to there were no stickers or parking permits in any of the other cars.
D. (descrimination) my letter jacket was in the back seat of the car, and i was parked near a rival school
E. no other cars were towed from that lot
Thank You
