From MN- I have a checking account in my name only, I am married to a recovering drug addict, for the past 4 years I have been endorsing his pay checks and social security checks 2 weeks ago he recieved a 2706$ check, which I endorsed with his verbal permission and deposited all but 500$ into my account, about 3 days later, my husband relapsed and went into the bank and CLAIMED he did not sign the check, the teller proceeded to give him a cashiers check for the remaining 2206$ he stated he only wanted 500$, to get his car out of impound. this is my sole account can they just give him that money, and can a wife endorse a check with her husbands verbal permission?

If he gives permission he can rescind it at any time.

There is a lot more going on than this, however.....
