Isn't this a crime? Yes, I gave her the money, but it was a loan. If she disappears on purpose when I ask for my money back, doesn't that constiture a crime? To make matters more complicated, she lives in TX and I live in NY. There are many other complications as well, but I don't even know where to begin to get my money back. I only know her mother's phone number and address, and her mother wont talk to me (her whole family has a history of mental problems).

Anyway, can she be charged for this? Fraud, theft, or embezzlement? I know it wont be easy, but this woman has gone out of her way to make my life hell, including putting me in jail for trying to leave her a note in her car (charged me with misdemeanor burglary for opening her car...I car I payed half for!).

We didn't have a formal contract, but I wrote "loan" on the check I sent her and she has acknowledged that she owes me numerous times. I have written proof of this. So, since I can prove that she intentionally stole this money from me, can't she be charged? I am not looking to have her arrested or anything, I just want something that says she did this because I may have to take her to court for other issues as well.

If I can't go the crime route, I guess I'll have to take her to small claims court. The money involved is $1500. It's actually a lot more, but I only have proof of the $1500.

As you can see, it's a totally messed up situation. I have given her every chance in the world to settle this, but she refused.

Any advice on this crazy situation I am in?

Thanks,

Hmmm...as helpful as that reply should be, I can't figure out how to make it work...

No, my friend, she is crazy and has done multiple things to hurt me in very serious ways. I am trying to get back what I can from her. She is worse than the typical woman who takes men for rides and leaves them with nothing. She mentally abused me, controled me, and used me for a year and a half then arrested me for just showing up at her house. I am like a boy scout, never did anything wrong in my life. She is trying to ruin me with all this in a controlling manner in hopes that I will give up and she'll get away with it. BUt I wont, I'll fight for my money, what I can prove of it anyway. Does this make me crazy? Perhaps. I think of it as standing up for whatever honor I can and NOT let a diagnosed schizophrenic person ruin my life any furthur than she already has.

So what's your number? I've got some friends who want to meet you.
And they have some bridges to sell me too, eh? No, I am not dumb. I stayed with her because I was the only one who could help her. She had health issues that almost killed her a few times. Even though she treated me the way she did I never would just stand by when someone needs help. It is when she didn't need help anymore that she decided to hurt me the way she did, and then she turned plain cruel by playing games. She told me she would begin paying me back, then changed her cell phone number. I went down to her house, and she arrested me for being there (she didn't even give me a warning). She is just nuts, and it's absolutely amazing that I can get arrested for doing nothing, while she stole from me and I can't do anything? As I said, I have proof of this.

A*- HA!! HA!!! She's bitch slapping you left and right and you keep going back for more. Arnold would say that you are a "little girly man". This must either be your first girlfriend or you're just a victim of the "night in shining armor syndrome" thinking you're going to save the damsel in distress.

They say that women are like hurricanes- they come into your life wet and wild and leave with half of your stuff. You'd better get some experience under your belt, son because the weaker sex is stonger than you think. You'll never get that money back, my friend. You can write the star spangled banner on the check and she'll still run away laughing with your money.

Thanks for the prideful story though. Great reading.
