Kansas; My divorce decree states that my ex will pay support on both of our daughters age 18 & 20 until they finish college. My problem is now my 20 year old is getting her own apartment and my ex thinks he should no longer be paying me support. I'm scared he will get a lawyer and try to have the support stopped. Can he do this if it is in our divorce decree that he will pay me support until they complete college? He wants to pay the money to her instead.

and what is wrong with that?? CS is to support the child, if you are no longer supporting the child because she has moved out into her own apt, then why not let him pay directly to the child?

I agree with legalbeagle, he is still supporting his child until she finishes college, why not have her receive the money?

It is obvious that his child needs it more then you. Sorry , but it sounds like you're being selfish.

have to agree with LB and MSM on this one too.

the CP isn't providing for the child anymore - the child is providing for herself. he is continuing with his support, but he will pay it to the child.

you are being selfish
