my fault accident-no insurance

i dont own a car. borrowed one with no insurance.(i thought it did) crashed into a motorcyclist. no injuries but wants Harley Davidson fixed as soon as possible. i have no assets, no credit, and no cash. i have a job pays $7/hr. How can i pay this guy as soon as possible?

My response:

Talk to family and friends, and borrow enough money to pay the motorcyclist. Sign promissory notes to whomever you borrow the money from.

Get the guy to give you at least 2 estimates for the repairs. Pay him by CHECK ONLY, NOT IN CASH. Have him sign a "Release" form.

Remember, the longer you wait, the more "injured" he'll become.
