My friend Lives in Missouri and he bought a car from a used car dealership and the salesman told them it was "as is" the car had 80,000 miles on it as was in "good condition" according to my friend. three weeks later the car broke down and they didnt take the car back to the dealership. they bought it for 900. i told them that they should have took the car back and at least got their money back. instead they fixed the car and then kept it now a month later the alternator went out. am i correct in telling them that they could have taken the car back? they tell me that i am wrong and give me the explaination that they can't because it was sold "as is".
