I turned a collectible hobby into a little money making business. My (ex) friend did the same thing. I gave her some of my collectibles to sell (at her request so she could have better varity, she is actually an LLC business) which she sold and kept the money. Then when I made sales and processed the sale thru her mercahants account so my buyer could buy on a credit card she kept the money. One instance when she had some of my stock in her trunk of car and the car was stolen my stock disappeared. Now, of course, I do not have anything in writing since she was my friend and I trusted her. God, I feel sooo stupid now. I do have copies of the credit card sales receipts for my the sales I did. And I do have a list in her hand writing of the stock list of what was in the car when it was stolen. How can I make her company reimburse me for the credit card sales? That is the biggy. It is over $4000. Since she is part of a LLC (her, her husband, and another party) do I have to go against the company?? What if now the company does not have enough value and says they can't pay me back. But she did get the money from the credit card company and used it for mostly personal stuff I am sure. Anyhow, what is the best course of action for me???

Just the same thing happened to me - worst for you its a friend - ouch! Mine is a store front family owned business I am going through small claims court now because I was advise it is less than $5000 not worth any good attorney because its too expensive to go through attorney - on top of that all you have is a handwritten list - can you prove it's her hand writing ? what about the sales receipts - is it under her company name? then you probably have no hold for that?!?
