Hi, this subrogation claim I am concerned with is related to a person who came up to my property and was petting my dog when i told them to step away they kept petting and said no the dog is fine.....sure enough the dog bit his arm. did not seek medical attention until the next day. In the meantime I have a feeling he is going to file a lawsuit since the day after it happened he consulted an attorney...in the meantime he says he just wants out of pocket expenses..when i asked how much were they he said
9,000. and this person has health coverage...(can't imagine why so high..think he is padding the bills) and he said i really have to look at my bills again and told me he would call me a couple of days. This was 2 weeks ago and never heard from him. I am renting the property I am on and he mentioned that if we didn't have the money he wants to pay him that he was going to sue my landlords insurance because the property i am on is commercial. but in the meantime was suppose to tally and give final figure. I am afraid that he is going to sue landlords insurance company and they in turn will place a subragation claim to me. How long will this insurance company have to file a claim against me? and am I and would it be 100% liable for this incident? Is it in my favor at all because i warned him to get away from the dog? And somehow would it be in my favor that he didn't go to get medical attention until the next day? Thank you for your respond
