My mother has Alzheimers disease and things are getting much worse. My mother has always intended to leave our home of 33 yrs. To me, but my sister, also moms PoA b4(needs renewed)plans to sell the property in addition to the adjoining(3)rentals and a Tucson property, to pay for moms care. Mom's adamant about her wishes, as am I. How can we guarantee her wishes are honored, both b4 and after her passing? Would a Quit deed work? There is a line of credit loan on the house I can take over payments on. Getting a new will drawn up is not an option nor a desire since our only concern is regarding the home. Sis took mom to see lawyer on wed but won't be signing anything until next week. Thanks a million in advance.

I would suggest you be VERY careful in thinking about what you want to do. Regardless of what mom wants, if the property is transferred before her bills are paid YOU could be in for charges of fraudulent transfer.

As for mom signing anything, if she has Alzheimers the will or deed will probably be void on it's face until and unless you have a compentency hearing.

I would STRONGLY suggest you speak with a probate attorney before allowing mom to sign anything.
