My ex ended up needing cold hard cash so badly that she finally settled for a lesser amount of $10,000 in exchange for the vehicles. She gave me a 2002 PT Cruiser with 27k miles on it, and she got my 1995 Cavalier.
Everything else stayed the same (Child Support, Medical, no retirement exchanging hands, etc).
Over 7 months of hard work and the opinions of this message board, in combo with my ex's insatiable need for cash paid off for me in the long run. My full focus is now moving on with my life with my kids.
