What is the name of your state? Alaska

I was at the Hiland land file removing trash from my car when the truck next to me pulled out and hit my drivers door. I have been trying to get this drivers insurance company to provide me with a rental car. They will not because they say thier client is telling them that I was parked with my door open and encrouching on his space.

Alaska.

I have been trying to get the insurance company of the truck driver that struck me to provice me with a rental car. They are saying thier client was not liable for damages because I had left my drive side door open and it encroched into his space.

The other driver hit your parked car. How it was parked or whether the door was open don't mean anything. They're responsible for the full damages.

Have you submitted this to your own insurance company? They'll go after the other company to get your damages paid for, including rental coverage (if the other driver's policy will cover this for you).
