What is the name of your state? NJ

A headhunter of mine cut and paste part of my resume (3 - 4 sentences) directly and use it as job description for another position that he's searching for a client. What can be done about it???

I send a copy of my resume to a headhunter, asked him to search for positions. However, when I checked up a job-searching website, he used some of the sentences exactly in my resume as job description for a position that he's looking on for another firm. Did he violate copyright and what can be done about it???

"Did he violate copyright"

Yes.

"what can be done about it???"

Depends on how much money you want to spend. You could send him a letter asking him to remove the material lifted from your resume -- but if he doesn't comply with your request, you would have to sue him. To sue him, you will have to register your copyright with the U.S. Copyright Office, then retain an attorney, etc. Big bucks.

Ask him nicely to remove it or reword it. If he does, great; if he doesn't, move on, and don't use him again!
