My rights after firing

What is the name of your state? MN

I was fired 10 days ago.Can I still ask my former employer to see my personal file and an employee handbook ? After announcing that I was terminated I've been told that I would recieve all the packages regarding my health insurance coverage and stock options. How soon will I recieve it ? I also been told that I would be paid for unused vacation time but the last paycheck which I only got 2 days ago doesn't have any vacation pay. Also can I still ask my former employer for my commission reports for last 2 weeks of my work ?

Under Minnestoa law: A former employee may obtain a copy of his or her personnel file free of charge once a year for as long as the record is maintained (see Minnesota Statutes 181.961). As far as the employee handbook, the employer isn't obligated to provide you with a copy since that is considered proprietary information.
As far as the vacation payout, company policy can determine when any benefits are due such as vacation, sick leave and severance packages. Benefits are payable within 60 days of when they become due. If owed and not paid by the employer, you can file your claim for those benefits in the conciliation court in the county where you worked for the employer (see Minnesota Statutes 181.74). The company has 44 days to mail out a COBRA package to you. I can't answer the stock option question.
