What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

I signed a lease for a car in February of this year. The dealer keeps messing up the paperwork and now wants me to come back a fourth time to sign paperwork again. I have not had to make a single payment and still have paper plates. The previous mess ups were that the paperwork was for the wrong vehicle. Now they have the right vehicle and the wrong mileage allowable per month. Can I just say I don't want the car?

The problem is they have a set of paperwork that you signed for some car. They might well be able to do a lot of damage with that alone.

If this is a new car and the lease is through the finance unit of a the car maker I would contact them and discuss possible options before you do anything rash.

You might be able to balk until the monthly mileage is as was agreed , if that is more favorable to you.

But odds favor them holding you to deal as agreed once the proper car was produced .

ID be nervous about that 7 month tail...if it's to be forgiven , be sure it's in writing .
